Bonfire Heart

I was like the moonless night,
dark, still and cold.
You just set off like a bonfire,
dancing, crackling and gold.
Warming me up…
lighting up a part of me
I never knew i owned.

Chose the image because the one it was written for loves protests and setting/seeing things on fire. The words came to me during a rather lonesome walk back after an anti-Valentine’s Day (2026) game night that I had with my classmates. I also didn’t know that we could write on images. This changes everything!
